Papa John

Papa John comes to visit every year in February! We all love when he comes to hang out and play with us. This year he was not only able to come spend the day at Disney with us but was able to play a pick up game with Grace and her basketball team. The season is coming to a close and on the last practice they played parents or in our case grandparents against kids. Grace and Papa both had a fantastic time playing ball together! We look forward to the next visit with our favorite Papa John!

The Princess Lunch

Celebrating Grace

Grace turned 9 years old on Sunday the 15th! We can hardly believe that we have had her in our lives for 9 yrs already! Her wish for her birthday was to spend the day at Disney world. So we headed off bright and early and started our birthday adventure at Hollywood Studios. We then ventured over to Epcot where we had a Princess lunch. We were able to meet and take pictures with 5 Disney princesses! Both Ella and Grace were delighted. Grace also received a special birthday dessert! After that we went on to Magic Kingdom and then finally topped it all off back at MGM. It was a full 12 hours of Disney. Papa John had made his annual trip and was great fun to bring with us. We love you Grace and are so glad that you are in our lives!

Lady Vols Valentine Party

Our house is the perfect house for hosting parties. So we had our first party last weekend. Grace invited all the girls over from her basketball team for a valentine party. They had pizza and snacks, jumped on the trampoline. sang and danced to HSM3, made valentine bags and then exchanged valentines. They all had a wonderful time and did not want to leave. The girls are all very sweet and well behaved so it made it easy on the mom. It also gave me the chance to start teaching Grace how to be a hostess. We will be having another party soon once the pool warms up. Actually, I think we will be having several parties once the pool warms up.

Our Busy Month

This month is only half way over and we have been so busy. We started the month with a trip to the citrus packers, Florida Natural. We learned a lot about oranges which are a very big part of life in Florida. We also found out that Florida Natural does not add anything to their juice, sugars, chemicals etc. Grace has a glass every morning now.
One thing that has been very fun for us is our outdoor porch or lanai as they call it down here. The weather is so nice and warm down here so many days we take our school work out to the porch and enjoy the outdoors while we do school. When they finish their work they either go jump on the trampoline or sometimes swim. I really cannot complain!
